SMS Foundation AGM
The SMS Foundation would like to announce that we will be holding our AGM on Sunday morning at 10.00am in the conference room.
This will give members the chance to learn more about the charity and meet the current trustees Hazel Wotherspoon, Nigel Over, Nick Hunt, Emma Riddell, Leila Gunning and Leeann Stevenson. The Foundation are also looking for members interested in becoming regional contacts who may be able to help coordinate social gatherings for SMS families in their local areas. We also welcome any further trustee nominations.
Tea and coffee will be served and all members are welcome to attend. For more information about the conference or to book a place please visit our conference page.
Illusions for Kids
The SMS Foundation are pleased to announce that Illusions for Kids will be providing the entertainment for Saturday night at our conference in June. The evening will start with a chance for families to meet and chat with other families over a relaxed buffet style dinner. Illusions for Kids will follow on from dinner starting with a magic/illusion show and finishing the evening with a disco, which we hope will provide entertainment for everyone!
Illusions for Kids specialise in offering deluxe entertainment for all occasions. They combine cutting edge Las Vegas style grand illusions and laugh out loud comedy into one unbeatable package. If you want your event to be talked about for years you've come to the right place.

Workshops for Siblings of Children and Adults with SMS
Chris Turk is a freelance trainer for Sibs, the national organisation supporting brothers and sisters of disabled children. He is a qualified social worker and experienced sibling group leader. He set up a sibling support project in Sheffield prior to working for Sibs.
Chris will be running two workshops for siblings at the conference. These will give the siblings a chance to get to know each other and have fun together, as well as sharing their experiences of living with a brother or sister with Smith Magenis Syndrome.
